UAE's textile trade is in the process of entering a dynamic phase with the ground all set for the construction of the Dh200 million Dubai Textile City (DTC). The country's trade, which now mostly operates from downtown Dubai, is scheduled to relocate to the smart complex in the emirate's First Warsan area sometime in early 2003. And once that is achieved, the UAE's textile business will be equipped with some of most innovative modern day trading tools and facilities that are comparable if not better than anywhere else in the world.
The DTC project also reflects the Vision of the rulers of Dubai and especially that of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE Defence Minister. The establishment of the DTC will not only organise the country's textile trade, but it will also lead to the offering of unmatched trading amenities both for buyers and sellers in the entire region.
